About Us

On August 5, 2006 we had our first "annual" funfly and airshow. Most of our members participated together with their families, we also had some visitors from San Antonio.

While turnout was light and most spectators left around noon time, it was still a great event. Temperature was a mild 120 in the shade but that didn't stop any of the members from flying.

The main purpose of the event was to raise awarness in the comunity to our hobby and I think we succeeded. You can view the front page of the Laredo Morning times here. We also got about 2 minutes of airtime during the news on the local ABC station.

Due to the light turn out, we only managed to donate $250.00 to the TAMIU schoolarship fund.
