Cantu Field Rules


  1. Before initiating a flight or equipment test, pilots will have to place a clamp with his name in the frequency control board indicating the channel in use. At the end of the flight or test, the pilot will remove the clamp leaving the channel free. In case of the channel being occupied, the pilot will have to wait until it becomes free. Anyone who ignores this indication and causes an accident will be liable and have to compensate for damages caused to the other person(s) and model(s).
  2. All pilots that want to fly a model will have to carry current AMA insurance. Pilots that do not carry AMA insurance will not be allowed to fly.
  3. New and Visiting flyers are welcome under a member's supervision.
  4. It is strictly porhibited to fly over the pit, parking area, and highway.
  5. All inexperienced pilots will have to be advised by an instructor, who will be assigned at the field.
  6. Maintain a flight time of 15 minutes maximum.
  7. All pilots flying their model will have to be located outside the runway.
  8. Make sure out guests and visitors are not in the pit and runway areas.
  9. Make sure that children are not in the pit and runway areas.
  10. Do not leave trash in the field.
  11. The use of a muffler or tuned pipe is mandatory in all models.
  12. As users of nature, is is expected of all of us to preserve our environment and to take care of all species of birds in our surroundings and not attack them in any way.
  13. Any damage caused by a member, guest, or visitor will have to be covered completely by the person who caused it.
  14. Avoid any type of continuous noise in the pit area such as engine test and tuning. These should be performed away from the pit area to keep the noise level down and not blow dirt on people and models.
  15. The $10USD monthly membership fee will have to be paid in full by the first Saturday of every month. Non paying members will not have access to the field.
